Using Image Crop & Rotate

Crop, rotate and frame a still image at original resolution with an exact export preview.

Open a JPG, PNG or WebP up to 20 MiB and eight million pixels.
Drag a crop using touch or mouse, enter exact pixel coordinates or choose an aspect preset. Rotate or flip before cropping; use Undo to restore a previous edit.
Choose framing and output settings, review dimensions/size, then download PNG, JPG or WebP.

A 90° rotation produces 1,000 × 2,000 pixels; a full-image export keeps that resolution.

Questions & answers

Does the small preview reduce export quality?

No. The canvas is displayed at a smaller size while processing uses the original decoded dimensions. Source images are not automatically reduced to 1,000 pixels.

Will arbitrary rotation clip the corners?

The transformed canvas expands to enclose the rotated image. Transparent corners are retained in PNG/WebP or filled with the chosen background in JPG. Output is limited to 16 million pixels.

Why does changing rotation reset the crop?

Coordinates belong to the transformed image. Rotation and flipping reset the selection to the full transformed image, so the next crop uses that coordinate system. Undo restores the previous transformation and crop.

Is metadata or animation preserved?

Exports are still images and do not copy source metadata. Camera orientation is applied by browser decoding. Animated PNG/WebP inputs become still frames.
