Binary Bit Workbench
Inspect and transform binary values: count bits, invert, reverse or shuffle them, and convert unsigned binary numbers to base −2 negabinary. Supports batch input and exact reports.
1. Set up your input
0b prefixes, spaces and underscores are accepted. Input represents unsigned binary integers. Bit transformations preserve width; negabinary conversion emits a canonical numeric representation.

Using Binary Bit Workbench
Inspect and transform binary values: count bits, invert, reverse or shuffle them, and convert unsigned binary numbers to base −2 negabinary. Supports batch input and exact reports.
- Paste unsigned binary values, one per line, with optional 0b prefixes or digit grouping.
- Choose counting, inversion, reversal, shuffling or negabinary conversion and process the batch.
- Copy the transformed values or download a report containing source bits, counts and exact decimal values.
Example
0b prefixes, spaces and underscores are accepted. Input represents unsigned binary integers. Bit transformations preserve width; negabinary conversion emits a canonical numeric representation.
Questions & answers
What is negabinary?
It uses digits 0 and 1 with place values that are powers of −2. For example, decimal 2 is 110 in negabinary because 4 − 2 + 0 = 2.
Does inversion calculate a signed complement?
It flips the supplied bits at exactly their supplied width. It does not infer signedness, add a carry or perform an arithmetic negation.
Are leading zeros preserved?
They remain in invert, reverse, shuffle and counting operations. Numeric negabinary conversion produces a canonical value without redundant leading zeros.
What are the limits?
Up to 200 values, 4,096 bits per value and 30,000 input characters overall.
Is my input uploaded for processing?
No processing upload is used. This tool runs in a local browser worker. Website ads and analytics follow the site privacy information.
