Binary Parity Generator & Checker
Append even or odd parity bits to binary messages, or check complete codewords with explicit one-count and pass/fail reports.
Ready. Explore the example or use the input controls to begin.
Scope and practical limits
1–500 lines, up to 4,096 bits per line and 50,000 input characters overall. Append puts the parity bit on the right. Parity is error detection, not error correction or authentication.

Using Binary Parity Generator & Checker
Append even or odd parity bits to binary messages, or check complete codewords with explicit one-count and pass/fail reports.
- Start with the example and choose the declared input representation and any bit width.
- Change the operation or format, then inspect the precise result and validation messages.
- Copy the output or download text, JSON or a CSV audit. Save a project to retain editable inputs.
Example
1011 has three ones. Append 1 for even parity to produce 10111. An even number of flipped bits may go undetected.
Questions & answers
Can parity correct an error?
No. Simple parity does not identify a flipped bit and can miss even numbers of flips.
What are the limits?
1–500 lines, up to 4,096 bits per line and 50,000 input characters overall. Append puts the parity bit on the right. Parity is error detection, not error correction or authentication.
Does it save my input automatically?
No. Processing runs in your browser. Download your result or saved project before leaving. Site advertising and analytics follow the website consent and privacy settings.
