CSS Minifier & Beautifier
Format or compact your CSS with a local parser. Your code stays in this tab and is never executed or saved.
Rules and names stay in order. Minify keeps license notices by default. Beautify keeps all comments; syntax checking does not verify every property or browser support.
Paste code or load an example to begin. Up to 250,000 characters; 8-second processing limit.
Using CSS Minifier & Beautifier
Use a locally bundled syntax parser instead of text replacements to compact your stylesheet.
- Paste CSS, open a file or load the example.
- Minify, Beautify or Check syntax. By default minification retains license and preserve notices; removing all comments is optional.
- Review the output, measured UTF-8 sizes and parsed rule/declaration counts, then download the stylesheet.
Example
.card { width: calc(100% - 2px); content: "a; b { c }"; }
Calculation spacing and string contents survive minification.Questions & answers
Does Check syntax verify browser compatibility?
No. It checks the parser-supported syntax and bracket structure. It does not check every property/value combination or guarantee browser support.
Are rule order and names changed?
No. The tool does not reorder rules or rename identifiers. It generates compact syntax from the parsed structure. Custom-property raw values may retain whitespace.
What happens to comments?
Beautify keeps comments. Minify collects license, copyright and preserve notices at the top by default; an option removes all comments. Keep notices required by your dependencies.
Is the percentage a gzip saving?
No. It compares actual UTF-8 input and output sizes. Beautification may produce a larger file. Processing stays local with an eight-second deadline.
