Table preview

The current table preview appears here.

Wide tables scroll horizontally inside the focusable wrapper. Values are escaped as text; HTML tags in cells are shown literally. Blank column names become “Column N” in the generated table. Numeric alignment does not convert values.

HTML & CSS output

The HTML snippet needs its generated CSS. Complete HTML includes styles and has no scripts or external libraries. Column headers use scope="col"; optional first-column row headers use scope="row". Source and setting edits clear old results until you build again.

Uses the existing CSV parser and copy/download helpers locally. No processing upload or saved table history. Website ads and analytics follow our privacy information.

Using HTML Table Generator

Turn literal CSV/TSV cell values into a styled semantic HTML table, with a preview before export.

  1. Paste CSV/TSV data or open a UTF-8 file. Choose delimiter and whether the first record has column names.
  2. Set a theme, caption, language tag, direction, column/row headers, borders and numeric alignment. Build the table.
  3. Review the scrollable preview and warnings, then copy HTML/CSS or download a standalone page with styles included.

Example

Copy a project overview from a spreadsheet, then export a dark striped table with a caption.
Select ar plus right-to-left direction for an Arabic table, and use the first column as row headers when it names each record.

Questions & answers

Does it keep HTML markup from cells?

No. Every cell and caption is escaped as literal text; tags and scripts appear as characters, not executable markup. This generator does not import rich HTML. NUL characters are rejected because HTML cannot represent them faithfully.

How is the table accessible?

It uses a real table with an optional caption, column headers with scope="col" and optional first-column row headers with scope="row". Its scroll wrapper is keyboard-focusable and labeled as a region. Choose the correct content-language tag and direction for your data.

What if my source has no header row?

Disable First record has column names. The existing parser gives columns default names so the first source record remains a data row. Generated headers can then be included or omitted. Blank source column names become Column N in this output.

Does numeric alignment change values?

No. Columns containing only plain integer/decimal strings and blanks can be right-aligned. Leading zeros and large numbers remain literal text. Exponents, thousands separators and mixed text do not qualify for automatic numeric alignment.

Can I edit individual cells?

Edit the CSV/TSV source or use the linked CSV Table Editor for row/cell editing, filtering and sorting. This generator focuses on HTML structure and styling.

What are the input limits?

100,000 source characters, 200 data rows and 30 columns. UTF-8 file imports are limited to 400 KiB and the same text-character limit. Quoted fields can contain line breaks; uneven records are padded with visible warnings.

How do responsive and sticky tables work?

Wide tables scroll inside their wrapper rather than extending the page. Sticky column headers use a 500px scroll area. For screen-reader testing and your actual site layout, review the exported page in context.

Which code should I copy?

The HTML snippet requires its generated CSS stylesheet. The complete HTML page includes CSS and has no scripts or external libraries. Only the current code view is copied; download buttons provide complete HTML or CSS.

Are tables uploaded?

The existing local CSV parser and browser code generation run without a processing upload or saved table history. Website ads and analytics follow the privacy information.
