Unicode display can hide look-alike characters. Review exact ASCII names and code points before sharing domains. No registration availability, DNS, public-suffix lookup or complete confusable-character detection is performed. IDNA mappings depend on the browser runtime.
Using Punycode & International Domain Inspector
Convert international domain names to browser-normalized ASCII and decoded Unicode. Inspect labels, code points, script cues and batch errors without DNS requests.
- Paste up to 100 bare domain names, one per line. Omit protocols, ports, paths and email addresses.
- Inspect each ASCII name, decoded Unicode labels, tracked scripts and any rejected entries. The complete JSON report includes label code points.
- Copy or export the report, or select valid-only ASCII/Unicode lists. Check DNS and registration separately if needed.
Example
Try the included editable example. Inspect each ASCII name, decoded Unicode labels, tracked scripts and any rejected entries. The complete JSON report includes label code points.
Questions & answers
What is Punycode?
It encodes non-ASCII domain labels into ASCII labels beginning xn--. This tool uses local Punycode.js decoding and the browser URL parser for IDNA normalization.
Does it check whether a domain exists?
No. It performs no DNS requests or availability checks and has no registration database.
Can I paste full URLs or email addresses?
No. Use bare domain names, one per line. Protocols, paths, ports, credentials and percent escapes are rejected.
Why can the result differ from my input?
Browser IDNA processing can normalize casing, compatibility characters and dot separators. A final root dot is removed for the displayed name. Review the JSON notes.
Does a mixed-script note prove phishing?
No. It is a limited review cue. Legitimate names may mix scripts, and misleading names may use only one script. This is not a security verdict or comprehensive confusable detector.
What limits apply?
Use at most 100 input domains and 30,000 characters. ASCII DNS labels are capped at 63 characters and the displayed domain at 253. Invalid rows remain in the table/JSON but are omitted from valid-only list exports.
