Seeded Decimal Test Data Generator
Create reproducible decimal-number fixtures from inclusive integer bounds, fixed decimal places and a saved seed.
Explore the example, or adjust the inputs. Save a project to keep your settings.
A useful starting point
Seed 12345 with bounds 0–1 and three decimal places always generates the same sequence of values on the 0.001 grid.
Scope and limits
Up to 5,000 values, 0–6 decimal places and 9-digit integer bounds. The scaled range may contain at most 2^32 grid points. For reproducible test fixtures only; not secure or suitable for scientific simulation.
Calculations run in your browser. Projects are saved only when you download them. Website advertising and analytics follow the privacy and consent settings. Import large integer CSV columns as text in spreadsheets to preserve their digits.
Using Seeded Decimal Test Data Generator
Create reproducible decimal-number fixtures from inclusive integer bounds, fixed decimal places and a saved seed.
- Choose a worked example or enter your own values in the labeled controls.
- Adjust the available options. Results refresh when you leave a field or choose an option.
- Review the result summary, interpretation and calculation table. Check any explicit limits or assumptions.
- Copy the text or download TXT, CSV or JSON. Save a project to reopen the same inputs later.
Example
Seed 12345 with bounds 0–1 and three decimal places always generates the same sequence of values on the 0.001 grid.
Questions & answers
Is this a continuous uniform distribution?
No. It draws from a discrete fixed-decimal grid with inclusive endpoints. Its LCG sequence is deterministic and correlated.
Can I use the generated values for passwords or a prize draw?
No. This is predictable test data. Use the secure Random Number Generator for ordinary random draws and the password generator for credentials.
Can I save and reopen my settings?
Yes. Save project downloads a JSON file for this tool. Open project restores it; undo and redo work during the current session.
Does the table contain every result?
The table is paginated in groups of 50. Downloads contain all listed rows. The partition tool intentionally caps its example listing while reporting the full exact count.
