FROM RESPONSES TO A CLEAR SUMMARY

Survey Response Analyzer

Summarize categorical survey answers, split multi-select responses or score an explicit Likert scale. See missing answers and denominators alongside every result.

Question columns — read your CSV first

500,000 characters · 10,000 responses · 100 columns · 200 distinct options per question. One row represents one response; duplicate respondents are not detected.

Try the sample, then choose question columns.

OptionCountPercentage

Multi-select percentages can total more than 100%. Likert scores are 1…N in your stated order; means include recognized labels only. Unmatched labels remain answered responses for the chosen percentage denominator.

No statistical significance, sampling correction, weighting, sentiment detection or population inference is performed. All results describe only the eligible rows you supplied.

Read the results without losing the context

  1. Import CSV, select its delimiter and read columns. Use categorical questions, not names or free-text comments.
  2. Select questions sharing the same response format. For multi-select answers choose the delimiter inside each cell; CSV quoting is handled separately.
  3. Choose whether blank answers belong in the percentage denominator. Optionally filter by an exact group value.
  4. Analyze, inspect each question and export the full report. Edit the inputs to clear outdated results.

Single answers are trimmed and optionally case-folded. Multi-select options are deduplicated within each response cell, so selecting the same option twice counts once. A nonblank cell containing only separators counts as answered but has no selected options. Likert labels must be explicitly listed; unmatched labels are counted separately and excluded from the mean.

Charts show the top 30 options for readability; the table and downloads include all options. Missing values are blank or whitespace-only cells. A zero denominator produces 0% and no Likert mean. Nothing is uploaded, automatically saved or sent to an analytics service by this tool's processing.

Using Survey Response Analyzer

Turn categorical response rows into transparent counts, percentages and optional ordered-scale scores.

  1. Import CSV and select categorical question columns.
  2. Choose one-answer, multi-select or an explicit ordered Likert scale.
  3. Set denominator and optional exact group filter, then export summaries.

Example

The sample survey compares six response rows with satisfaction labels, group membership and multi-select features.

Questions & answers

How are blank answers counted?

Whitespace-only or blank cells are missing. Choose all eligible rows or nonblank answers as the percentage denominator. Both counts remain visible.

Why do percentages exceed 100%?

For multiple selections, each distinct option counts once per respondent cell. A respondent can select several options, so percentages can sum above 100%.

How are Likert scores calculated?

Enter 2–10 ordered labels. Scores run from 1 to N, and the mean uses recognized labels only. Unmatched labels are reported separately. This is a descriptive summary, not a statistical significance test.

Can I analyze a subgroup?

Yes. Choose a filter column and exact matching value. Trim and case-fold settings also apply to that comparison. Blank filter values match blank cells.

What can I download?

All question summaries as CSV or escaped printable HTML. Charts show at most 30 options, while the table and reports retain all supported options. No data is uploaded or automatically saved.
