Questions & answers
What does Batch Job Chunk Planner calculate?
Plan chunk count, tail size and parallel processing rounds.
Which units should I enter?
Records uses records. Chunk size uses records. Parallel workers uses workers. Seconds per chunk uses seconds. Convert values to these units before calculating.
Which formula does it use?
Chunks = ceiling(records/chunk size); rounds = ceiling(chunks/workers).
What does the included example show?
Records: 10000 records; Chunk size: 250 records; Parallel workers: 4 workers; Seconds per chunk: 2 seconds. Result: Chunks = 40; Last chunk records = 250; Processing rounds = 10; Ideal duration · seconds = 20.
Can I compare different settings?
Yes. Save a scenario, change the inputs and save another result. Up to five scenarios are compared in this tab; they disappear when you reload or leave.
Can I export the calculation?
Copy the JSON report or download JSON and CSV with inputs, result labels and numeric values. Processing uses local JavaScript; no calculation request is sent to our server. Displayed values use up to 10 significant digits; exports retain JavaScript numeric precision.
