Questions & answers
Are my clips uploaded?
No. Preview and encoding run in your browser using the existing local media engine. Files and results are not uploaded or automatically saved.
What videos can I import?
Files must play in your browser, with finite duration up to one hour and at most 16 million source pixels. Use up to 1 GiB per file and 1 GiB total. Codec support and memory can impose lower practical limits.
How do the start offsets work?
Both previews share one comparison clock. Each source begins at its own chosen start offset. Duration must fit both sources; this tool does not loop short clips.
Is the wipe animated in the export?
The divider position is fixed during export. You can drag it during preview to inspect differences. This version does not export a moving wipe animation.
Can I resize the two panels?
Side-by-side and stacked layouts use the divider percentage to size the panels. Fit shows the full frame with background borders; Fill crops to cover each panel.
Which audio is included?
Choose silence, the before clip or the after clip, with adjustable volume. If the chosen source has no audio, export reports the issue; choose silence or the other clip.
What are the output limits?
Up to three minutes at 24 or 30 FPS, even dimensions up to 1920 per edge and 2,073,600 total pixels. Exports over 200 MiB are rejected. Large sources require substantial memory; importing does not guarantee an export.
What does Save settings include?
Layout, offsets, duration, labels, colors, framing and output preferences. Media files are not included; reload the originals before applying saved settings.
