Focus Timer, Countdown & Stopwatch
Work in focused blocks, run a quick countdown or record lap times. A large clock, clear phase controls and a local session report keep the essentials easy to use.
Ready to focus
Choose a mode, then start when ready.
Switching modes pauses the previous timer; each mode keeps its progress while this page stays open. Closing or refreshing the page resets timers and reports. The clock follows elapsed device time, including background delays; device clock changes can affect it.
Change settings ↓Timer settings
New focus blocks always wait for Start. Auto-break can catch up one completed break after a background delay; it never records unattended focus blocks.
Start the stopwatch, record laps, pause and resume. Lap totals and splits use hundredths of a second. Reset clears this mode’s laps; the stopwatch stops at 24 hours.
Changes take effect when you apply them; this resets the current phase.
Sound & desktop alerts
The browser asks for permission only when you click Enable. Support varies, especially on mobile. Muted tabs, sleeping devices and suspended browsers can delay or suppress alerts. Keep the page open; this is not a system alarm or background service.
Session activity
Up to 100 recent completed/skipped phases and 100 stopwatch laps in memory. Skipped phases are marked and do not count as completed focus blocks. Clearing activity does not reset the current timer. Export before closing this page if you need a record.

Questions & answers
Does the timer work when I switch tabs?
Elapsed time is calculated from the device clock, so the display catches up after browser delays. Sounds and notifications may be delayed or suppressed in suspended tabs or on sleeping devices. Keep the page open.
Does it keep running after I close this page?
No. This is a page timer, not a background alarm service. Closing or refreshing resets clocks, task labels, laps and activity. Export a report first if needed.
What happens after a focus block?
It switches to a short break, or a long break after your chosen number of completed focus rounds. Breaks start automatically only if that option is enabled. New work sessions always require Start.
Can background delays create extra completed work sessions?
No. Automatic break mode can catch up the completed work phase and one break, then waits on the next focus phase. It never starts unattended work sessions.
Does skipping count as completed focus?
No. Skipped phases record actual elapsed time and are marked separately. Completed focus statistics summarize up to 100 recent activity entries.
How do stopwatch laps work?
Each lap records cumulative time and the split since the previous lap, to hundredths of a second. Up to 100 laps are kept. Resetting the stopwatch clears its laps. It stops at 24 hours.
Are notifications automatic?
Permission is requested only by the Enable desktop notifications button. Support depends on your browser and secure connection; the permitted notifications checkbox controls use after permission.
Are my task labels stored or uploaded?
Timer calculations and reports stay in page memory, with no stored task history or processing upload. Website ads and analytics follow the privacy information.
What are the timer limits?
Focus blocks1–120 minutes, breaks1–60 minutes,1–12 rounds before a long break; countdowns1 second through 23:59:59. Device clock changes can affect timing.
