Convert through W_per_m2: input × source factor ÷ target factor. Unit codes are case-sensitive. The unit-comparison table shows the factor definitions. No density, temperature reference or other quantity is inferred.

Supported units & reference factors

Each factor converts one unit to W_per_m2. Codes use u for micro. Factors preserve the quantity and selected unit definitions.

Questions & answers

What can Heat Flux Converter convert?

Convert thermal power per area with explicit area-unit changes.

Which format rules should I check?

Convert through W_per_m2: input × source factor ÷ target factor. Unit codes are case-sensitive. The unit-comparison table shows the factor definitions. No density, temperature reference or other quantity is inferred.

Can I convert several files?

Yes. Open up to 10 files, select the settings and choose Convert files to ZIP. The status table identifies converted and failed files. The downloaded ZIP includes outputs and an audit; failures are not silently treated as successful.

How do I check the result?

Review each row, its source code and numeric result. Compare the first valid input in all supported units, swap source and target, or feed the converted values back as input. Formatting affects display only.

What are the limits?

Up to 1,000 rows and 200,000 input characters. Decimal points and scientific notation are supported; unit codes are case-sensitive.

Is input sent to a conversion service?

The conversion runs locally in a browser worker with bundled scripts. No conversion API is called. Copying and downloads happen only when you click their buttons. Saved comparisons stay in this tab and are cleared by reload. Ad-supported pages can load third-party scripts.
