How to use Mail Merge Document Builder

  1. Paste or open a CSV, select its delimiter and Load records. Column names must be unique. The sample includes one missing date so you can try validation.
  2. Write a document title and body. Click a field button to insert its placeholder at the cursor, or type an exact header inside double braces.
  3. Select a recipient to preview the personalized document. Open Edit current record to correct that recipient’s data. Review empty fields in the selection table.
  4. Choose font, paper and output format. Download the current record or selected records as a ZIP. By default, records with empty template fields are skipped.
  5. Save a project to keep the CSV, template and layout together. HTML can be printed from your browser; DOCX remains editable in a compatible word processor.

Limits and supported output

Up to 200 records, 50 columns, a 1 MiB CSV and 20,000 template characters. Templates are plain text with {{field}} placeholders. No emails are sent; existing Word templates are not imported. Review downloaded Word pagination in your editor.

Questions & answers

How do placeholders work?

Use exact CSV header names inside double braces, such as {{name}}. Field buttons insert these at the template cursor. Missing or empty fields appear in the validation report.

Can I save my work?

Download a project JSON containing the CSV, template and settings. There is no automatic browser storage. Anyone with that project can read its data.

Can I download all letters at once?

Yes. Build a ZIP of numbered files in DOCX, HTML or TXT format. You can also download the currently previewed record.

What are the limits?

Up to 200 records, 50 columns, a 1 MiB CSV and 20,000 template characters. Templates are plain text with {{field}} placeholders. No emails are sent; existing Word templates are not imported. Review downloaded Word pagination in your editor.
