The edit plan contains annotations, images and entered values, but not the source PDF. Restore it after reopening the same original. Signature drawings are visual marks, not cryptographic signatures. Encrypted, XFA, digitally signed/certified and malformed forms are unsupported.
Using PDF Editor & Form Filler
Fill PDF forms and add content to an existing document locally. Export an interactive form or a static completed copy, and preview the result before sharing.
- Open an unencrypted PDF up to 25 MiB and 200 pages, or try the sample. Choose Forms to fill existing fields.
- Use Add to place text, images, a drawn signature, highlights, shapes or new form fields. Select an object to move, resize, duplicate, reorder or copy it to another page.
- Create your edited PDF, preview its pages, then download. Forms remain editable by default; choose Flatten for a static form copy. Save an edit plan if you want to resume later.

Try the sample form. Change Full name, select Approved and tick Confirmed in the Forms tab. Place an APPROVED stamp and a drawn signature on page one. Preview the saved PDF to check field values, alignment and text fit.
Questions & answers
Can I edit existing PDF text?
This tool fills form fields and adds new content. It does not rewrite existing paragraphs, reflow a document or remove original text. Use the original authoring document for those changes.
Do form fields remain editable?
Yes, by default. Existing and new supported AcroForm fields remain interactive in the downloaded PDF. Choose Flatten form fields for a static copy. Added notes and images are ordinary page artwork.
Can I create new form fields?
Yes. Add a text form field or checkbox, give it a unique name without dots, position it and export with Keep form fields editable. New text fields support multiline content.
Which files and fields are supported?
Unencrypted PDFs up to 25 MiB and 200 pages with up to 300 existing form fields. Text fields, checkboxes, radio options, dropdowns and option lists are supported. XFA, digital signature/certification fields and orphaned widgets are rejected. Unsupported or read-only fields cannot be changed.
Is the drawn signature a digital signature?
No. It is a transparent image of your drawing. It does not authenticate the document cryptographically or provide identity validation. Digitally signed source documents are unsupported because edits can invalidate their signatures.
Do highlights redact information?
No. Shapes and highlights add artwork over the document. Underlying text and data remain present. Use a dedicated verified redaction workflow to remove sensitive content.
What text and image formats work?
Text and updated form appearances use built-in Latin/WinAnsi PDF fonts. Use a PNG or JPEG image for other scripts. Images are limited to 5 MiB and 16 million pixels; the total edit plan image content is bounded. Text must fit its box; increase dimensions, reduce size or add line breaks if export reports overflow.
What does Save edit plan include?
The JSON contains added objects, images, field values and a hash of the original PDF. It excludes the source PDF. Reopen the identical source before restoring the plan. Treat plans as private if they contain personal data or signatures.
What happens to original document features?
The existing PDF is edited rather than rebuilt from raster page images, so original page text stays selectable. This tool is not a sanitizer or an archival/accessibility validator. Review links, annotations, bookmarks, attachments and other special features in your PDF reader after export.
Are documents uploaded?
PDF inspection, drawing, filling and export run locally using existing browser libraries. No processing upload or saved file history is used. Website advertising and analytics follow the privacy information.
