Optional: listen to the original before recording a replacement.

Ready.

A smoother pickup session

  1. Prepare. Add source timestamps, original lines and the exact replacements.
  2. Record. Work through the queue, check local audio if useful, and log takes in your recorder.
  3. Hand off. Export a script or CSV for editing. Save a project to reopen your queue and progress.

Audio stays in this browser and is not embedded in saved projects. This planner organizes human-written changes; it does not transcribe, synthesize speech or edit the source recording. Public pages may include third-party ads; see our privacy policy.

Shortcuts: Alt + ← / → changes pickup; Ctrl / ⌘ + Enter applies edits. Projects support up to 2,000 pickups. Keep a saved project before closing this page.

Using Podcast Pickup Recording Planner

Build a recording pickup queue with exact replacement lines, source times, speaker direction and take tracking.

  1. Try the five-line garden-podcast example or start a new session. Add corrections and exact source timestamps.
  2. Choose a pickup, edit the replacement and direction, then Apply changes. Priority sorting and search help plan the recording order.
  3. Optionally open local audio and play with a lead-in to hear the original. Log take counts and mark each pickup recorded. Record the actual takes in your recording software.
  4. Save a project to keep the full session. Export a plain text script, CSV or printable HTML handoff sheet.

Example

A community-garden episode includes a corrected year, a guest introduction, a cleaned-up sentence, updated event details and a new closing.

Does this tool record or generate audio?

No. Take logging counts attempts. Optional local audio playback helps you hear the original; record replacement audio in your preferred recorder.

Can I reopen my work?

What files can I import?

Planner JSON projects or CSV with time and replacement columns, up to 2,000 pickups and 5 MiB. Optional local audio is played by the browser without decoding the whole recording into memory.
