QR Code Generator
Turn a link, text or Wi-Fi details into a QR code. Preview it, then download a sharp PNG or scalable SVG.
What should your code contain?
Include http:// or https://. Your link is encoded as entered; this tool does not visit it.
Keep it short for easier scanning. Line breaks and Unicode text are preserved.
Anyone with this QR image can read its credentials. WPA3 and enterprise networks are not covered by this preset; scanner support varies.
Processed locally. Content and Wi-Fi details are not uploaded or saved.
Your QR code
Your QR code will appear here.
Enter content or load an example to begin.
PNG dimensions and encoded size appear after generation.
Scan the downloaded image on your target device before printing or sharing it. Keep its clear border visible.
Using QR Code Generator
Create a static QR code for a link, a short message or a Wi-Fi network. Processing happens locally, without an account or a tracking redirect.
- Choose Website URL, Plain text or Wi-Fi network, then enter the content. Use a complete HTTP or HTTPS link for URL mode.
- Generate your code or leave live preview enabled. Image settings let you change the PNG target size, clear border, dark foreground and error correction.
- Download PNG for ordinary image use or SVG for scalable print layouts. Scan the downloaded code on your target device before sharing; keep the clear border intact.
Example
Website URL: https://example.com Scanning the generated code offers this URL. The tool encodes the link without visiting it.
Questions & answers
Do these QR codes expire?
The QR image has no built-in expiration and uses no subscription redirect. An encoded website can still become unavailable, and Wi-Fi credentials can change.
Can I change the destination after downloading?
No. These are static codes: their encoded content is fixed. Create and distribute a new image to encode different content.
Are my Wi-Fi credentials saved or uploaded?
No. Inputs remain in page memory and processing runs in a locally bundled worker. Downloaded Wi-Fi QR images contain readable credentials, so share them only with people who should have access.
Which Wi-Fi networks are supported?
The presets support WPA/WPA2 Personal, WEP and open networks, with a hidden-network option. WPA3 and enterprise authentication are not covered. Device and scanner compatibility varies.
Why does PNG size differ slightly from my selection?
The selected size is a target. The tool rounds up to whole module pixels, with at least two pixels per module, so module edges stay sharp. Exact dimensions appear below the preview.
Should I choose PNG or SVG?
PNG works in common image editors and documents. SVG is a vector image that can scale for printing. Both contain the same QR content and a white background.
Why will my code not scan?
Use a shorter message, keep the white border visible, avoid blurring or cropping, and provide a large enough image. Higher error correction can make the code denser. Test with the device that will use it.
How much content can I encode?
Input is limited to 2,000 UTF-8 bytes, and QR capacity also depends on content and error correction. The tool reports an error when a code cannot fit. A network name is limited to 32 UTF-8 bytes. Unicode can use several bytes per character.
