Questions & answers

Can I enter fractions?

Yes. Use 1/2, common symbols such as ½, or a mixed fraction such as 1 1/2, followed by a space and the unit or ingredient name.

Does it convert cups to grams?

No. It scales quantities while retaining their units. Cup-to-mass conversions depend on the ingredient.

How does rounding work?

Decimal output rounds to four places. Quarter and eighth options round to those increments. The table shows an unrounded estimate and flags quantities rounded to zero.

Can I scale individual ingredients differently?

This tool applies the same serving factor to all listed quantities. Adjust exceptions manually afterward.

Should I double cooking time for a double batch?

The calculator does not scale cooking times, temperatures or cookware. Review the recipe’s own instructions and practical requirements.

Can I save the result?

Yes. Download the text result or JSON report, or copy the result. Editing inputs invalidates the previous result until you calculate again.

Is my input uploaded for processing?

Processing runs in a local browser worker with no input upload and no account. Website advertising and analytics are described in the privacy information.
