Questions & answers
Can it repair text copied from a PDF?
It joins nonblank source lines with spaces while preserving paragraphs separated by blank lines. It does not infer missing spaces, remove line-end hyphens or reconstruct columns; review the result.
Is width measured in pixels?
No. Width counts Unicode code points. Combining characters and emoji sequences may use several code points. Font width and terminal display cells are not calculated.
Does indentation count toward line length?
Yes in Wrap mode. An 80-character width with four indent spaces leaves 76 characters for text. Join mode still adds the chosen indentation but has no length limit.
What happens to long words?
Choose Split to break them across lines without adding hyphens, or Keep whole to allow an overlong line. The report counts these long tokens.
Will it preserve source formatting?
It formats plain prose. Repeated whitespace, tabs and source indentation are normalized. Avoid using it on source code, tables or documents whose spacing carries meaning.
Are files uploaded?
The work runs locally in a browser worker with a 100,000-character input limit. Copy and file exports happen only when selected. Site advertising and services follow the privacy policy.
