This audits the supplied vocabulary, not its suitability as a secure password dictionary. Human-selected words, biased generation and small lists can weaken passphrases.

Using Word List Cleaner & Audit

Clean a custom vocabulary or word list with Unicode normalization, duplicate removal, length rules and an exportable audit of every row.

  1. Paste your word list or open a UTF-8 text file. Each line is one candidate.
  2. Choose character, length and phrase rules. Lowercase and NFC normalization can merge equivalent entries.
  3. Review rejected and duplicate rows. Copy the cleaned list or export the audit CSV.

Questions & answers

Does this generate passwords?

No. It cleans your supplied words. Use the existing Passphrase Generator for cryptographic random generation.

How are duplicates handled?

Entries normalize to Unicode NFC and compare after the chosen case setting. Only the first matching entry is retained.

What does length mean?

It counts Unicode code points, not bytes or visible grapheme clusters. Emoji sequences can count as several code points.

Can I allow phrases?

Yes. Phrase mode collapses repeated whitespace and keeps internal spaces. Single-word mode rejects entries containing spaces.

What are the limits?

Up to 5,000 nonempty entries and 100,000 source characters. Length bounds must be whole numbers between 1 and 200.

Is the list saved or uploaded?

No. Processing runs locally; lists stay in this tab unless you copy or download them.
