No. Image decoding, AI processing, brushes and PNG export run in your browser. AI assets are downloaded from this website; the tool does not send your photo for processing.

Quick uses approximately 4.4 MB for the model; Detailed uses approximately 168 MB. Both also use a runtime of approximately 14 MB. These download only when you run AI. Browser caching can reduce later downloads, but is not guaranteed. Detailed mode uses more memory and can be slow on phones.

Try Quick first, then Detailed if needed. These models detect prominent subjects and do not guarantee perfect removal. Hair, transparent objects, small subjects and similar foreground/background colors often need manual correction. Detailed is a larger model, not a promise of better results on every photo.

Restore brings back pixels from the original photo, including any background underneath them. Undo and redo cover brush strokes and reverting edits; background settings are separate. History keeps up to 20 steps, with fewer on large images to limit memory. Manual editing starts with the whole photo visible. Running AI again replaces the starting cutout and clears edit history.

Transparent PNG preserves the cutout’s transparency. The checker pattern is only a preview unless you select the printed Checkerboard option. Output keeps the original pixel dimensions until you trim or choose a square canvas. The original file is not modified; camera metadata is not copied to the exported PNG.

Yes. Focus the cutout canvas, use arrow keys to position the brush, hold Shift for larger moves, and press Space to paint. Ctrl or Command plus Z undoes a stroke; add Shift to redo. On touch screens, drag on the image to paint and choose Pan to drag a zoomed image without painting.
