Image Resizer & Converter

Highly recommended

Resize images, convert HEIC, JPG, PNG and WebP, or prepare files for an upload size limit. Compare the result before downloading.

1. Add your images

Drop images here or choose files. Up to 20 files, 20 MB each, 60 MB input and output per batch; decoded images up to 16 megapixels and 8,000 px per side.

No images selected.

Images are processed in your browser. Files are not uploaded. Animated inputs become a single still image when converted or resized.

2. Choose the output

Conversion settings

With a size target, the tool searches between this ceiling and the minimum quality. PNG does not use a quality slider.

HEIC / HEIF export as JPG by default, or choose PNG / WebP. The primary still image is used; extra images and Live Photo motion are not exported. GIF and BMP inputs export as PNG when keeping the format and processing is needed. GIF output is available in the GIF Maker.

How to resize or reduce image size

  1. Add your images and choose a format. JPG works well for photos; PNG preserves transparency without lossy quality changes; WebP combines transparency with adjustable quality.
  2. Choose dimensions, a percentage, or a side length. Keep proportions enabled to avoid stretching.
  3. For an upload limit such as 100 KB, enter a target size. Choose a minimum quality and optionally allow shrinking.
  4. Process the images. Check the target badge, size, dimensions, and original/output comparison before downloading each file or the ZIP.

Questions & answers

How do I convert an iPhone HEIC photo to JPG?

Add a .heic or .heif file, choose JPG (or keep the default HEIC → JPG option), then convert. PNG and WebP are also available. Review the decoded preview and output before downloading. Processing runs locally in a cancellable worker with a 60-second HEIC decoding limit.

What is preserved when converting HEIC?

The primary still image and HEIF container rotation/mirroring are decoded. Original camera metadata, HDR, depth data, extra images and Live Photo motion are not preserved. The decoded preview is reduced for display; the output uses your chosen dimensions. Some codecs or unusual files may be unsupported. Keep your originals.

Why did my image miss the size target?

Some images need lower quality or smaller dimensions than your settings allow. Try JPG or WebP, lower the minimum quality, or allow shrinking. A target is not a guarantee; an unmet result is clearly labeled.

Does keeping the original format compress my image?

JPG and WebP are re-encoded when compression or a target is enabled. Without resizing, compression, a target, or renaming, supported non-HEIC files are downloaded unchanged. HEIC / HEIF always convert to a standard image. PNG has no adjustable quality; shrinking dimensions can reduce its size.

Will my image get larger?

It can. Re-encoding or changing formats can increase size, especially when converting a compressed photo to PNG. The result shows whether the file became smaller or larger.

Can I convert an animated GIF?

An unchanged GIF can be downloaded as the original. Resizing or converting produces a single still frame as JPG, PNG or WebP. Use the GIF tools to work with animation.

Are my images uploaded or saved?

No image files are uploaded by this tool. They remain in page memory until you clear them or leave the page. Downloads are saved by your browser. Public helper scripts come from this website. The HEIC decoder loads only when processing a HEIC / HEIF file.

Does conversion preserve metadata?

Canvas conversions do not preserve original metadata such as camera EXIF. The unchanged-original path retains the source file. Keep your originals if you need their metadata.
