Export matching rows
Downloads include all matching rows, not just the current page. A header is included only if it matches the filter. Exports contain values only: formatting, charts, macros, formulas and workbook layout are not preserved. CSV prefixes potentially active formula text. Stored formula results can be missing or out of date.
Limits: 15 MiB per file, 50 sheets, 10,000 rows and 200 columns per sheet, 500,000 rectangular cells total. Password-protected workbooks are unsupported. Browser memory limits can be lower. Parsing runs in a cancellable worker with a 20-second limit. Macros and formulas are not executed. This is an independent spreadsheet viewer, not affiliated with Microsoft.
Workbook parsing and export use a local browser library. The public website includes third-party advertising; see our privacy information. Keep your original workbook and check downloaded data before using it.
Using Excel Workbook Explorer
Browse spreadsheet sheets, find values across the workbook, inspect stored formulas and export matching rows using your browser.
- Choose an XLSX, XLS, ODS or CSV file, or try the two-sheet example.
- Select a sheet and filter rows by displayed value. Search all sheets to jump to a matching row; click a cell to inspect its value and formula.
- Download all matching rows as values-only XLSX, CSV or JSON. Keep your original workbook.
Example
Try the example and click Orders!D2: the stored formula is B2*C2, with a cached result of 13.5. Search North across all sheets to find Regions!A2.
