Same text, different fonts
All imported fonts use the current size and text settings; selected variation axes apply only to the selected font.
Click a character to copy it. Characters displayed using fallback fonts are flagged by coverage checks where mappings are available.

Export without changing outlines
CSS unicode-range does not remove glyphs or reduce the font file size. Preview axis settings do not create a static font.
Import fonts or try the sample.
Using Font Explorer & Conversion Workbench
Preview local fonts, compare typography, explore Unicode characters and variable axes, inspect font metadata and export supported font containers with web CSS.
- Import TTF, OTF, WOFF or WOFF2 files, or try the bundled sample font. Select a font from the collection.
- Type your own sample, compare fonts, browse mapped characters and adjust available variation axes. Inspect metadata and coverage before choosing a font.
- Confirm you have permission to convert the font. Export WOFF or the original outline container, CSS or a specimen PNG. Save a project ZIP to reopen your workspace.
Example
Load the sample font and try the paragraph preset. Browse its characters, test text coverage and export a WOFF copy to compare the rendering.
Questions & answers
Are fonts uploaded?
No. Files are parsed and rendered in your browser. The sample is an existing font served by this website. Projects are downloaded, with no automatic storage.
Which conversions work?
Supported individual TTF/OpenType and WOFF 1 fonts can be repackaged as WOFF or restored to their original TrueType/CFF outline container. This does not convert TrueType outlines to CFF or vice versa. WOFF2 supports browser preview only. Collections are not supported.
Does conversion change the appearance?
Font tables and outlines are preserved and checksums rebuilt. WOFF wrapper metadata/private blocks are omitted; internal name/license tables remain. Browser rendering can still differ across operating systems.
Can I make a smaller subset?
The character-range export produces CSS unicode-range declarations, not a binary font subset. It does not shrink the font file. This tool does not remove glyphs, shape tables or variation data.
How do variable axes work?
Available fvar axes appear as sliders and apply to previews through font-variation-settings. Exports preserve the full variable font; the chosen preview is not baked into a static font.
Does glyph coverage include every character?
The character browser reads Unicode cmap formats 4 and 12, showing mapped code points rather than every glyph, ligature or variation sequence. WOFF2 mappings cannot be inspected here. Complex-script shaping depends on the browser.
May I convert any font?
Only when its license permits your intended conversion and use. The tool displays embedded license text and embedding flags where present, but these are not a complete legal determination. Restricted embedding flags block conversion here.
What are the limits?
Up to 12 fonts, 15 MiB per input, 32 MiB expanded font data, 10,000 preview characters and 80 characters per browser page. Project ZIPs are limited to 50 MiB and 12 embedded fonts.
