How to use GIF Frame Timing Report

  1. Open or drop a GIF, or try the sample. Processing runs in this browser.
  2. Scrub through frames and inspect their delays. Download a report containing all frames, including those below the browser playback threshold.
  3. Inspect several frames and the playback before keeping your download.

Quality and format choices

Unchanged exports retain the original bytes. Timing, looping and comment-only edits preserve compressed frame images. Pixel edits keep exact colors when representable; any palette reduction is reported. Choose APNG or PNG frames for full-color output and soft transparency.

Comments use Latin-1 text. Background removal is color-based and supports source frames up to 4 million pixels. Sheet exports are limited to 16 million pixels. CSS sprite classes are static positions; use the timing JSON for animation playback.

More editing controls

The tabs keep the controls relevant to this task next to the preview. For a complete editing workspace, use the GIF Editor. Space plays or pauses. Arrow keys step through frames. Ctrl+Z undoes edits. F switches fullscreen.

File limits

Open GIFs up to 50 MiB, 4,096 pixels per edge, 1,000 frames and 80 million decoded frame pixels. Large projects require more memory and may be slow on phones.
