Quality you can check
- An unchanged download keeps the original file byte for byte, unless you explicitly choose optimization or color reduction.
- Timing and loop changes keep the original compressed frame images.
- Pixel edits and changed frame sequences keep exact colors when representable. If a frame requires palette reduction, the export reports it.
- Choose APNG or PNG frames for full-color output and soft transparency. GIF has binary transparency and limited palettes.
Workspace shortcuts
Space: play or pause. Arrow keys: previous or next frame. Shift-click: select a range. Ctrl+Z: undo. Ctrl+Shift+Z: redo. F: fullscreen. O: onion skin. Ctrl+S: export.
File limits
GIFs up to 50 MiB, 4,096 pixels per edge, 1,000 frames and 80 million decoded frame pixels. Large animations need more memory. Frame timing uses 10 ms steps; 20 ms is the fastest reliable playback in common browsers.
