Questions & answers

Can I paste a color code?

A single RGB pixel can be represented by six hex digits. This tool also accepts sequences of raw pixel bytes. For color-space conversion use Color Converter.

Why does the byte count matter?

Raw RGB requires width × height × 3 bytes, RGBA requires × 4 and grayscale × 1. Missing or extra bytes are rejected.

Which complete image files work?

PNG, JPEG and WebP with valid signatures and successful browser decoding. SVG and executable formats are excluded.

What are the limits?

Six million input characters; raw images up to one million pixels and 2,048 pixels per edge. Complete decoded images are limited to 16 million pixels and 8,192 pixels per edge.

Is my input uploaded for processing?

No processing upload is used. This tool runs in a local browser worker. Website ads and analytics follow the site privacy information.
