Using Image Effects Tool

Apply presets or combine filters while keeping the original still-image dimensions.

  1. Open JPG, PNG or WebP up to 20 MiB and six million pixels.
  2. Adjust filters or choose a preset. Use the comparison range with touch, mouse or keyboard; reset sections as needed.
  3. Select PNG, JPG or WebP, read the measured export size and download.

Example

Set grayscale on and contrast to 120%.
The result remains the same pixel dimensions as the decoded source.

Questions & answers

How can I compare before and after?

Use the labeled comparison range. Arrow keys adjust it when focused, and touch or mouse can move it directly.

Does JPG preserve transparent areas?

No. JPG exports fill transparency with white. PNG and supported WebP preserve alpha. PNG ignores the JPG/WebP quality setting.

Is the shown export size only an estimate?

The tool encodes a candidate blob and displays its actual byte size after changes settle. Browser encoders and chosen formats determine output size.

Are files uploaded or metadata retained?

No files are uploaded. Source metadata is not copied into the re-encoded still image. Animated inputs do not preserve animation.
