List Batch Splitter & Group Builder
Divide a list into balanced groups or fixed-size batches, keep contiguous order or distribute round robin, and export batch JSON, assignment CSV or a ZIP.
Ready. Explore the example or use the input controls to begin.
Scope and practical limits
Up to 5,000 items and 50,000 characters. Each retained item is assigned exactly once. Requested batch counts above the number of items are reduced to avoid empty groups. Duplicate text remains separate items, tracked by source line.

Using List Batch Splitter & Group Builder
Divide a list into balanced groups or fixed-size batches, keep contiguous order or distribute round robin, and export batch JSON, assignment CSV or a ZIP.

- Choose the operation and review the preview, counts and table.
- Copy the output, download the full result or save a project for later.
Example
Split Task A through Task G into three contiguous batches. Batch sizes are 3, 2 and 2. Round robin instead distributes original positions 1/4/7, 2/5 and 3/6.
Questions & answers
Are the batches equal?
Batch-count mode balances sizes within one item. Fixed-size mode uses the chosen maximum, with a potentially smaller final batch.
Does it remove duplicates or randomize items?
No. Repeated values remain separate. Original order is preserved inside each group; round robin changes membership using original positions.
What is in the ZIP?
A JSON file of items for each batch plus an assignment CSV showing batch, position, item text and original line.
