PDF Thin Line and Small Text Preflight
Find small text and potentially fragile vector strokes before print proofing.
Checks extracted text sizes and supported stroke operations with tracked line-width/transform state. Approximate stroke scale and incomplete operators cannot certify print quality; rasterized text, Type 3 glyph internals and device hairline behavior require manual proofing.
Using PDF Thin Line and Small Text Preflight
Find small text and potentially fragile vector strokes before print proofing.
- Open supported source files or try the worked example. Original files are retained in browser memory and are not overwritten.
- Search and filter findings. Select a record to inspect its source evidence, then adjust the task-specific settings and explicit decisions.
- Use Preview to inspect the selected page, worksheet context or structured result. Undo/redo is available, and Save review retains decisions and exact source fingerprints.
- Use Export for the task-specific artifact or portable Excel, CSV, HTML and JSON reports. Inspect edited files in your normal PDF/spreadsheet/document reader before sharing.
Example
The worked PDF has four pages: visible text and a form, raster images, a duplicate page, and a blank page. It also contains an attachment, an optional layer, a comment and a clearly labeled synthetic signature dictionary. The signature is demonstration data, not a valid digital signature. Use the findings to review this tool’s specific task.
Questions & answers
What does this tool support?
Checks extracted text sizes and supported stroke operations with tracked line-width/transform state. Approximate stroke scale and incomplete operators cannot certify print quality; rasterized text, Type 3 glyph internals and device hairline behavior require manual proofing.
Are source files overwritten or uploaded?
Processing runs in this browser. Exports are new downloads, and original source files are retained unchanged. Public pages keep the existing approved advertising and optional analytics. Review projects contain settings, decisions and source fingerprints; keep the exact original files separately.
Can I save and reopen the review?
Yes. Save review creates a JSON project, which can be reopened with the exact original filenames and SHA-256 hashes. Generated libraries/forms can reopen without source files. There are no automatic browser drafts.
What are the practical limits?
Use up to eight files, 25 MiB each and 80 MiB total. DOCX/XLSX/EPUB packages are limited to 120 MiB expanded and 5,000 ZIP entries. XLSX workbooks support up to 60 sheets and 100,000 stored cells; rendering/comparison scans have visible per-tool page limits. Unsupported/encrypted/macro-enabled formats are not silently converted.
