Teleprompter & Script Reader
Practice a presentation or record a video with a large scrolling script. Adjust speed, font size, reading width, direction and horizontal mirroring. Use focus view when you are ready to read.
1. Prepare your script
2. Adjust your reading view
Scroll speed is pixels per second, not words per minute. The reading-time estimate depends on current font, wrapping, window size and speed. Text edits restart at the beginning; style edits pause at the current scroll position.
Reading window
Focus the reading window and press Space to start or pause. Mouse wheel, touch or navigation keys pause automatic movement so you can reposition. Switching away from this page also pauses. The center guide marks a comfortable reading line.
Up to 100,000 script characters. Speed: 5–200 px/second; font: 20–80 px; line height: 1.2–2.5; width: 40–100%. Plain script text is shown literally. No recording, processing upload or saved script history. Mirror mode changes only the visual text. Website ads and analytics follow the privacy information.
Using Teleprompter & Script Reader
Read a plain-text script at your own pace with a large scrolling window, manual start and clear pause controls.
- Paste a script or open a UTF-8 text file. Try the example to see paragraph spacing.
- Choose pixels-per-second speed, font size, line height, reading width, theme, direction and optional horizontal mirroring.
- Start scrolling, use focus view, and pause or reposition when needed. Download the script as TXT for later use.
Example
Use a larger font and a slower scroll speed while practicing a presentation. For a mirror-mounted recording setup, use horizontal mirror mode. Arabic/Hebrew scripts can use right-to-left direction.
Questions & answers
Does it record video or sound?
No. It displays and scrolls your script. No camera or microphone permission is needed. Use your recording application separately.
How is scrolling speed measured?
Pixels per second, not words per minute. Estimated remaining time depends on text layout, font, wrapping and reading-window size. It is a scroll estimate, not a measured speaking time.
How do I pause and reposition?
Use Start/Pause, or focus the reading window and press Space. Wheel, touch, pointer interaction or navigation keys pause movement. The progress slider seeks to a position; Restart returns to the beginning. The page pauses when hidden.
What does focus view do?
It hides the script editor/settings and page hero, widening the reading workspace. It pauses first, so you can choose Start when ready. Exit focus view restores the editor. It does not request browser fullscreen permission.
What does mirroring change?
Only the visual script text is mirrored horizontally for a reflective teleprompter setup. The stored field and TXT download remain ordinary text. Right-to-left direction is a separate setting.
Are HTML tags or Markdown interpreted?
No. Script text is rendered literally, including tags and Markdown characters. This is a plain-text reader.
What limits apply?
Up to 100,000 characters or a UTF-8 file up to 400 KiB. Speed 5–200 pixels per second, font20–80 pixels, line height1.2–2.5 and reading width 40–100%. Invalid settings disable playback until fixed.
What happens when the script or style changes?
Text edits pause and restart at the beginning. Style edits pause at the current scroll position; wrapping and remaining time may change. Speed can change while scrolling, provided it stays valid.
Is my script saved or uploaded?
No processing upload, recording or saved script history is needed. Download TXT yourself to keep a copy. Closing the page releases its script state. Website ads and analytics follow the privacy information.
