How to convert EPS to PNG
- Open an EPS file or use the example. The tool reads the PostScript section, including supported binary-preview wrappers.
- Choose a resolution and render the first page. Check text, colors and artwork against the original.
- Choose PNG for lossless rendered pixels, or JPEG/WebP for sharing. Download the image or its settings report.
Raster output does not retain editable vectors, spot colors or print-production metadata. It is not a guarantee of exact commercial PostScript rendering. Need the reverse direction? Convert PNG to EPS.
Using EPS to PNG Converter
Render the first EPS page in a local worker, inspect the actual image and export it at the selected resolution.
- Open an EPS up to 8 MiB or try the built-in artwork.
- Choose 72, 150 or 300 DPI and render the first page. Check text, colors and dimensions.
- Download PNG, JPEG or WebP, or save a render report.
Example
Try the geometric artwork at 72 and 300 DPI, then compare image dimensions.
Questions & answers
Can I open EPS files with binary previews?
Supported DOS EPS wrappers are checked for a bounded PostScript section. The TIFF/WMF preview is ignored; the actual PostScript artwork is rendered.
Does this preserve vectors or spot colors?
No. It renders a raster image and does not retain editable vectors, spot colors or production metadata.
Why does some text look different?
Unembedded fonts can be substituted. Check the rendered result against the original; this does not guarantee exact commercial PostScript rendering.
What are the limits?
8 MiB EPS input, an explicit numeric BoundingBox near the start, 8 million output pixels and 60 seconds of worker processing. Only the first page is rendered.
Are files uploaded?
The existing WebAssembly PostScript renderer runs locally in a disposable browser worker. The public site also uses ads and analytics as explained in its privacy policy.
