Using Image Color Replacer
Change matching colors in a photo or logo without uploading it for processing. Pick a source pixel, tune the color match and compare your recolored result or selection mask.
- Choose a JPG, PNG or WebP, or try the generated demo. Click the original image to pick a source color.
- Choose a new color, all matching pixels or a connected area, replacement style, tolerance, softness and strength. Click Apply color change.
- Compare original and result, or inspect the white match mask. Download the recolored image at its original dimensions.
Example
For a logo, choose Exact new color and tolerance 0 to change an exact flat color. Increase tolerance to include anti-aliased edge pixels. For the demo, click the large red area and use Connected area to leave the separate red block unchanged. Keep pixel lightness preserves brightness variation; high tolerance may include unrelated colors.
Questions & answers
Can this identify an object automatically?
No. It matches RGB colors within a tolerance, not objects. Connected area restricts the selection to four-neighbor matching pixels reachable from the pixel you clicked. Separate objects of the same color remain untouched in that mode.
What does tolerance mean?
Tolerance is a percentage of the maximum RGB color distance. Zero matches the source RGB exactly; higher values include more colors. Transparent pixels are excluded. Inspect the mask to see what will change.
What does color-edge softness do?
It blends the replacement amount for colors near the tolerance boundary. It does not blur the image or feather a spatial selection edge. Zero applies full strength to all matching pixels.
Does Keep pixel lightness preserve photographic shading?
It uses the new color’s hue and saturation with each original pixel’s HSL lightness. This retains brightness variation but is not a realistic lighting simulation. Black and white retain their lightness; Exact new color replaces RGB directly.
Are repeated changes cumulative?
No. Every Apply starts from the original pixels, so you can experiment without accumulating compression or color changes. Changing settings invalidates the old preview and download.
Does the match mask get downloaded?
No. Downloads always contain the recolored image, even if the mask is displayed. White mask pixels are selected, gray indicates partial replacement at the tolerance boundary, and transparent pixels remain transparent.
Which files and sizes work?
Use one JPG, PNG or WebP up to 20 MiB, eight million pixels and 16,000 pixels per edge. Output retains source dimensions. PNG and WebP preserve alpha; JPG places transparent pixels on white.
