Unit Price Comparator
Compare different pack sizes, bottles or item counts. Enter the final price for each complete offer, then see which costs less per kilogram, liter or item.
1. Choose matching quantities
Use the same currency and comparable products. Include any discounts, fees or tax you want to compare in the entered final offer price. Mass and volume cannot be compared without density. US fl oz means US customary fluid ounce, not a food-labeling 30 mL ounce.
2. Enter your offers
For six 330 mL cans sold together: enter the price for all six, quantity per unit 330 mL and units per offer 6. For one 30-item pack: quantity per unit 30 items and units per offer 1.
3. Compare the results
Rankings use exact integer fractions before rounding. Unit prices display up to eight decimals; positive prices below that precision are labeled. Savings are relative to buying an equivalent quantity at the other offer's unit price, not a refund or saving on one whole pack. Quality, waste and how much you need also matter.
Price and quantity accept up to 12 whole digits and six decimal places without commas or exponents. Quantity must be positive; zero price is allowed. Units per offer: 1–1,000. Item counts must be whole numbers. No processing upload or saved shopping history. Website ads and analytics follow the privacy information.
Using Unit Price Comparator
Compare the final price of equivalent quantities across 2–10 offers, keeping mass, volume and counts separate.
- Choose mass, volume or count, a common comparison unit and one currency label for every offer.
- Enter each final whole-offer price, quantity per unit and number of units in that offer. Add or remove offers as needed.
- Review exact unit-price rankings, ties and relative savings. Copy results or download JSON/CSV.
Example
Six 330 mL cans for 4.50 cost about 2.27272727 per liter. A 2 L bottle for 2.40 costs 1.20 per liter. Two 750 g bags for 5.00 cost about 3.33333333 per kilogram. A 1 kg bag for 4.40 costs 4.40 per kilogram.
Questions & answers
Which price should I enter?
Enter the final price for the entire offer, in the same currency for all offers. Include discounts, fees and tax that you want counted. This tool does not fetch current prices or apply currency exchange rates.
How do multipacks work?
Total quantity is quantity per unit times units per offer. For six 330 mL cans, enter 330 mL and six units, along with the price for all six. For a single pack containing 30 items, enter 30 items and one unit.
Can I compare grams against milliliters?
No. Mass, volume and counts are separate families. Converting mass to volume requires density; it is not inferred. Compare equivalent products and units within one family.
What kind of ounces are supported?
Mass oz means the avoirdupois ounce, equal to 28.349523125 grams. US fl oz means the US customary fluid ounce, 29.5735295625 mL. It does not mean an imperial fluid ounce or a 30 mL food-labeling ounce.
Are ties based on rounded prices?
No. Ranking and ties use exact integer fractions. Displayed unit prices round to eight decimals and savings to three. Very close offers can look equal at display precision but have different exact ranks; JSON includes exact rate numerator and denominator.
What does savings mean?
It compares the lowest unit price against each other offer for an equivalent quantity. It is not a saving on buying one whole package and does not model waste, quality differences or your required quantity.
What limits apply?
Compare 2–10 offers. Price and quantity accept up to 12 whole digits and six decimals, without commas/exponents. Price may be zero, quantity must be positive, units per offer are 1–1,000 and item quantities must be whole numbers. Names are at most 60 characters.
What happens when settings change?
Old results and exports are cleared until recalculation completes. Switching quantity family resets the row units to that family; review the numeric quantities before using the new comparison.
Are offers saved or uploaded?
No processing upload or saved shopping history is needed. Calculation and exports run in this browser. Website ads and analytics follow the privacy information.
