Scope and practical limits
Up to 5,000 retained items and 50,000 input characters. Positions are 1-based and inclusive; -1 means last, and zero is invalid. Endpoints must fall within the retained list. A forward range with descending endpoints or a reverse range with ascending endpoints is empty.
The tool processes your work in the browser. The website’s advertising and analytics follow its privacy and consent settings. Projects are not saved automatically. Media workspaces export their files directly rather than storing them in project JSON.

For A through G, start 2, end -1, step 2 and forward selection yields B, D, F. Exclude the same range to keep A, C, E, G in original order.
Questions & answers
Are positions counted before or after blank removal?
After the chosen trimming and blank filtering. The audit also records each original source line so the mapping remains clear.
Is the end included?
The end is an inclusive limit. A stepped range includes it only if the step sequence lands on that position.
Does exclude reverse the remaining items?
No. Exclude removes the selected positions and keeps the remaining items in their original order.
